The ‘Women in Jazz’ webinar, led by flautist Galen Abdur-Razzaq, has been postponed. We hope to reschedule a new date soon.  

Women have been involved in Jazz since the early 1920s, not only as vocalists, but also as instrumentalists, composers, and arrangers. In his webinar, Abdur-Razzaq will talk about the personal and professional lives of women musicians in a time when many considered jazz “a man’s world.” He will explore a full spectrum of years, genre, recordings, and recognized achievements. The program will include live performances by Abdur-Razzaq and samples of the artists’ music. A Q&A will follow.
