Beginning Thursday, Nov. 5, the library will open for limited browsing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our curbside pickup hours have been adjusted accordingly; please click here for the new schedule.

Download our guide to in-person browsing here.

During browsing hours, we welcome quick, grab-and-go visits to borrow books, DVDs and CDs from our collection. Visits are limited to 30 minutes.

Mask-wearing and 6-foot social distancing are required at all times, both within the building and on library grounds. Please sanitize your hands upon entering the building; there is a hand sanitizing station at the door.

Computer use is restricted to two sit-down computers for 30-minute sessions and one stand-up computer for 15-minute sessions.

Use main-level restrooms at your own risk. They are sanitized only once a day, in the morning. Lower level bathrooms remain closed.

The Craine Room, Quiet Study Room and Harry Snow Reading Room remain closed to the public.

We are allowing up to 30 people only in the building at one time.

Our guidelines for in-person browsing are based on public health protocols issued by the CDC and the Mass. Dept. of Health to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate this new way of doing business in the library.
