Have you ever made a blackout or "erasure" poem using found materials such as old magazine and newspaper pages or even discarded books? It's fun and freeing and an easy way to tap into your creativity and unleash the poet within. Starting Saturday, April 17, come by the library and pick up your own Blackout Poetry Kit. Each kit includes instructions and most of the supplies needed to make your own blackout or erasure poetry at home. When you're finished, you can share your work if you'd like; email it to Kaimi at klum@clamsnet.org, or drop off a photo or scanned copy of your work at the library. We'll include it in an online gallery in June.
