Cape Noir Radio Theater Live: An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge

Come to the Craine Room for a live performance of Cape Noir Radio Theater’s An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. Based on the classic Civil War thriller by Ambrose Bierce, An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge is adapted and directed with sound design by J Hagenbuckle, featuring voice performances by Tamara Harper and Casey Clark. Tamara is director of programming at Preservation Hall in Wellfleet with 20 years of experience as a teaching artist, director, and actress. Casey is an actor, writer, director, filmmaker and long-time collaborator with Hagenbuckle. Together, these three Cape artists will bring this radio play to life, creating a unique, visceral sound experience for all.

Hagenbuckle is the creator of Cape Noir Radio Theater. Since October 2022, thirty half-hour episodes have been broadcast and streamed on WOMR community radio in Provincetown and hundreds of plays have been released on the WOMR podcast page. His four decades-long career as a sound designer/composer began in the early days of W.H.A.T. and includes Broadway, Off Broadway, Regional, Boston, Cape theater, film, dance and podcasts. J is an NEA/TCG Design Fellow and a Boston Elliot Norton Award recipient.
