Survival: How Birds Endure Harsh Winter Conditions

  • Snow Library 67 Main Street Orleans, MA United States (map)

Come to the library’s Craine Room for a talk by Phil Kyle on how birds survive in the Winter. Have you ever wondered what birds do when the harsh New England Winter comes their way? Why do they hang out in mixed flocks, and what is there for them to eat during this season? In Phil Kyle’s lecture you can find out the answers to these questions and more.

Phil Kyle has been birding for over 50 years, and was a past president of the Cape Cod Bird Club. He was also the Head Naturalist at both the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster and the Greenbriar Nature Center in Sandwich. He wrote a column on birds for the Cape Cod Times for many years and is eager to continue sharing his knowledge with those who are passionate about the wildlife around them.

The program is free and no registration is required. All are welcome. Sponsored by the Rowena Myers Trust.
