Come to the Craine Room for a lecture by Brian Dudley on the history of ocean liners. Brian Dudley’s fascination with ocean liners began at the age of four when he saw a drawing of the sinking of the Titanic. Over the years, he has researched the history of these magnificent ships and acquired an extensive collection of books, deck plans, menus, china, and models to try and keep their memories alive. He has always found great pleasure in sharing their stories with others. Brian has made several transatlantic crossings on the France, the Queen Elizabeth 2, and the Queen Mary 2 and is looking forward to making many more. Come hear the fascinating stories behind these beautiful feats of marine travel and their place in the history of seamanship.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Sponsored by the Rowena Myers Trust.
