Using his favorite instrument as a rough guide, Joseph Marchio, assistant conductor of the Cape Symphony and music director of the Chatham Chorale, will take us on a musical journey through history as he examines how the organ, along with other fantastic instruments, played various roles and enriched our lives in a variety of contexts and venues. This is a four-part series, continuing Thursdays through Oct. 27. The Oct. 20 class will focus on the history of opera, operetta and musical theater.
