Join Mike McCartney as he travels back in time to Medieval England in this three-part course. He will examine many aspects of daily life in 14th-century England, noting the significant differences from our lives today as well as some astonishing similarities. Topics will range from food, drink, clothing, games, music, and education to the roles of women, children, and religion in the society of the time.

Mike is the Circulation Supervisor of Eldredge Public Library in Chatham, but he was previously an award-winning teacher and department chair. He obtained his B.A. from Moravian University and his M.A. from Middlebury College. He has also studied at the Oxford Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
