Lifetime Learning: Daily Life in Medieval England - Part Three

Mike McCartney will conclude his three-part course with a final examination of the many aspects of daily life in 14th-century England. The class will finish discussing the significant differences of the time compared to our lives today as well as the astonishing similarities. Topics will range from food, drink, clothing, games, music, and education to the roles of women, children, and religion in the society of the time.

Mike is the Circulation Supervisor of Eldredge Public Library in Chatham and was previously an award-winning teacher and department chair. He obtained his B.A. from Moravian University and his M.A. from Middlebury College. He has also studied at the Oxford Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
