The first day of this two-part course, held at the Chatham Community Center, will delve into the current state of fascism within the world. Instructor David Bisno will describe how much of the world, including parts of the United States, is freely choosing to embrace illiberal democracy or even fascism, a surprise for most of us who were raised and educated to value classical, liberal and democratic values in a responsive republic. David is a retired ophthalmologist with degrees from Harvard, Dartmouth and the Washington Univ. School of Medicine and has been an enthusiastic discussion leader across our country and overseas on a myriad of topics for 29 years.
This class will only be held in person. The Chatham Community Center is located at 702 Main Street in Chatham.
The second class will also be held in the Chatham Community Center the following day, on Oct. 11 at 10:00 a.m.
