Lifetime Learning: The Cape's Housing Crisis - What's Your Stake In It? Part 3

  • Snow Library 67 Main Street Orleans, MA United States (map)

The Cape’s housing crisis affects workers, visitors, businesses, and you. Workers can’t find decent housing, businesses limit hours because they can’t find workers, restaurant-goers face long waits, and police & EMT organizations can’t attract employees due to out-of-sight housing costs, resulting in slower response times. Come find out how you can help. Learn from housing advocates, builders, business owners, workers, and law enforcement professionals, who will define the problem, tell personal housing journeys, and offer real-life solutions.

Class 3, Thursday, 11/4, is a panel discussion on “Real-life Solutions.” Professionals offer solutions from “building our way out of it,” to other creative solutions. Panelists include Alisa Magnotta, CEO, Housing Assistance Corporation; Chris DeSisto, President, Maple Hurst Builders, Inc., Orleans project; Jen Whitaker, Whitaker/Hardman/Liberles, Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty; Andrew Gottlieb, Executive Director, Association to Preserve Cape Cod; Philippe Jordi, Executive Director, Island Housing Trust (Martha’s Vineyard).
