Peggy Kelleher, mythology expert, leads this unique one-class course, offered via Zoom only. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston is currently hosting a special exhibition of six paintings by Titian, each of which is based on a myth included in Ovid’s “Metamorphoses.” In this course Kelleher will make these six paintings come alive from their mythological roots with expanded background stories on each tale. These masterpieces were created in the mid-1500s as a set and are together again for the first time in almost 500 years.
