What’s happened to the dreams that today’s Baby Boomers held when they were students in the 1950s and ‘60s? They fought and had dreams for a better world, a better future. They worked hard for those ideals. What happened? Why, more than a century later, are we at the point that we find ourselves now? How can these ideals - of social equality, a clean planet, etc. - finally be realized? Richard Finnegan, political science professor at Stonehill College, leads a course exploring these questions, with a focus on how four institutions (the Supreme Court, Congress, the presidency and the media) affected the trajectory of baby boomer aspirations.
This four-part online course continues Tuesdays through March 16.
