What’s happened to the dreams that today’s Baby Boomers held when they were students in the 1950s and ‘60s? They fought and had visions for a better world. What happened? Why, more than a century later, are we at the point that we find ourselves now? How can baby boomer ideals, such as social equality and a clean planet, finally be realized? Richard Finnegan, political science professor at Stonehill College, concludes his four-part course exploring these questions, with a look at how the media affected baby boomer aspirations.
