Lifetime Learning: Wild about Wilde!

  • Snow Library 67 Main Street Orleans, MA United States (map)

This four-part course taught by Mary Ann Eaton will examine the life and works of Oscar Wilde. More than a successful Irish playwright, Oscar Wilde wrote short stories for both adults and children, a popular yet shocking novel, poems and essays. We’ll delve into some of his most brilliant works and his fascinating life with the help of the book, The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde. In this first class we will be watching Wilde, a biographical film centered around its namesake.

Future classes will focus on these following topics:

11/1: Short Stories
11/8: A Woman of No Importance (film class ends at 3:30)
11/15: De Profundis, Unabridged letter, “Dear Bosie”
