In this two-part course, Meg Mahoney will examine and discuss the evolution of women’s place in society since the Civil War. She will focus on women striving for relevance in a society that had defined them as submissive and the issues they faced by fighting against the system of oppression.
Meg is an educator in public & private schools and was the Chair of the History Department & Faculty for 18 years at The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT. She was a recipient of the 2000 Fulbright-Hayes Group Project Scholarship to study in Ghana through Yale University.
