Lifetime Learning: Women’s Place in Society Since the Civil War - Part Two

In the final half of this course, Meg Mahoney will conclude her examination of the evolution of women’s place in society since the Civil War. She will focus on women striving for relevance in a society that had defined them as submissive and the issues they faced by fighting against the system of oppression.

Meg is an educator in public & private schools and was the Chair of the History Department & Faculty for 18 years at The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT. She was a recipient of the 2000 Fulbright-Hayes Group Project Scholarship to study in Ghana through Yale University.
