Art historian Sue Altman will be presenting a lecture about Winslow Homer at Snow Library. Winslow Homer is one of the most admired painters of New England seascapes in the 19th century. Lesser known is his work as a chronicler of the Civil War and its aftermath. Suzanne Altman will be discussing both aspects of his work in this slide lecture.

Suzanne Altman is an art educator and art historian who has presented art and art history programs throughout the NY Metro Area (and as of January 2023, Cape Cod) for both adult and teenage audiences. She is also a painter who works out of her home studio in South Yarmouth MA and exhibits frequently.
