Lynne McKenney Lydick will be giving a presentation on the Women’s Suffrage movement at Snow Library. 2020 commemorated the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment. The struggle did not start with the Seneca Falls Woman's Rights Convention in 1848, but rather decades before with women fighting on all fronts for their equality. Hear excerpts from primary source documents honoring the women who worked tirelessly to earn the right to vote and other rights. Presented by Snow Library and supported in part by a grant from the Orleans Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The library is located at 67 Main Street in Orleans.
