This two-part, in-person course will be taught by David Bisno, M.D., and will be held at the Chatham Community Center, at 702 Main St., Chatham. David will deliver two in-depth, illustrated, and impartial lectures exploring the history of the Holy Land from biblical times to the present. He will cover the establishment of Israel as a place of refuge for Jews escaping persecution, the claims to the land of the indigenous Palestinians, the resulting continuous conflicts and wars, and the attempts to find peaceful solutions. David is a discussion leader and lecturer across the country and overseas and holds degrees from Harvard, Dartmouth, and Washington University School of Medicine.
The second class will be held the next day, on 10/17. This course is in-person only and will not be recorded. There will be a 15-minute break with refreshments each day at 10:45.
