Lecturer Stew Goodwin will present a standalone, Zoom-only lecture on the Insurrection Act of 1807. The Insurrection Act has become a lightning rod of political discussion in recent years and may play a big role in the future. Stew will discuss why it was created, how it has been employed, and why it needs to be rewritten.
