This two-part, Zoom-only course is taught by Stew Goodwin and will cover recent events and their implications in Russia, China, and the Middle East. In this first class, Stew will cover the partnership between Russia and China, its long-term objectives, its geopolitical implications, and what the implications might be for the United States. The second class will occur on April 4 and will cover the Middle East. Stew will unravel the many complications, the cross currents, and what the role of the United States, if any, might be in this area of the world. He will also cover the risks of wider conflicts and the future of the Israeli state.
Stew Goodwin has a career in international investments and has a keen awareness of global events and the potential implications they may have. He has also been a lecturer for 16 years at the Academy for Lifelong Learning and is fond of teaching others what he knows.
