Ron Petersen, a lecturer on local Cape history and Chair on the Orleans Historical Commission, will teach this course on the surprising connection between the Boston Tea Party and historical Cape Cod. As we approach the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in Dec. 2023, this course will focus on the significance of this event on the road to the Revolutionary War and the independence of the American Colonies. It will also focus on a lesser-known connection of this event to the towns on the Outer Cape and its lasting impact on the citizens here. (Hint: There was a fourth tea ship…)
